My summers months at the Stamps-Baxter School of Music were an invaluable experience for me.  Seemed God knew just who to send my way and when.  There were so many gifts of friendships and kindnesses, encouragements and dreams come true.  I attended from '94 - '99 at Belmont University with Tom Powell as director.  Just wanted to share some of the moments and people.

These three ladies were my friends from beginning to end.
We met in Nashville each of the summers from '94-99 and had a blast!
Ginger Niemeyer, Mary Lee Coppom, and Dru Pipes.

Wyvette Davis, me, Susan Wilcox, Ginger Niemeyer,
and Bobbie Stegman (my roomie in '98/'99)
in the cafeteria.

I had the privilege of learning some piano
from Rosa Nell.  By the way, she is hilarious!

Mary Tom served as one of our dorm mothers!
Here she is with two of her grandchildren (1998)

Dru Pipes, center, with two of the best theory teachers to be found -
Eugene McCammon and Jack Clark (who also happens to be a
fantastic pianist)

Daryl Williams and me as I try to get as much as possible
from the songwriting lessons we had.

Ben Speer, president of the school,
making an introduction.

Tom Powell, director extraordinaire,
in a more subdued moment

This impromptu concert just dropped right out of heaven in '94!
Lily Fern Weatherford, Woody Wright, Brock Speer, Daryl Williams, Ben Speer, Bill Gaither, and Vestal Goodman.
